"Love
is like a fire...but whether it is going to warm your hearth or burn down your
house, you can never tell.” -J. C.-
"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't
it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your
heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build
up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing
can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid
person, wanders into your stupid life...You give them a piece of you. They
didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at
you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets
inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple
a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter
working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not
just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart
pain. I hate love.”
Have
you ever felt this way before? Love can be one of the greatest things, but it
can also be one of THE most painful experiences that one goes through. To
love someone past every part of you, even when they DON'T deserve it, far
surpasses the materialistic viewpoints we have on life and love.
During
this universal month of “LOVE,” we gift each other, we express our undying
love for one another, and we have all of these great expectations during February.
Don’t let one month/one day distort your views on love, good or bad. Love is
a constant 365 days a year type of situation; it doesn’t only appear on February
14th and leave. So, if you don’t have love and are yet searching
for it, RELAX, it’ll come. Keep loving yourself & the rest will follow.

I love this one. It speaks for it self.
ReplyDeletethe thing about Cupid is that he is single! the Man wares a dipper for crying out loud!
ReplyDelete...too funny, but very true!
DeleteI thought I would never find that someone to love and when I finally resigned myself to my fate of being single and having 50 cats and a dog or two, and actually content with it. I meet up with an old co worker and some friends, got talked into going out to a club and that was that. It's never been easy, but anything worth keeping never is.
ReplyDeleteSometimes though I wonder if I should have went home that night instead going out. 10 years later we are still together, through the good, the bad, the really ugly and the poor. But we are still going strong.
Love NEVER fails & always happens the way it's supposed 2!
DeleteI have thought like that once. I have only fallen in love with a man of this world once, and it hurt for years after he decided that he wanted someone else. I learned to "Look at the roses among the thorns, instead of the thorns among the roses."
ReplyDeleteI love that analogy; it makes me change my viewpoint on the way I see things. Thank you for that.
DeleteYou are so very welcome. God Bless you many times over and over.
DeleteRemember, a bowl of vegetables with someone you love is better than steak with someone you hate.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, I agree!
DeleteYou say love is like a fire. For me it has been like an INFERNO.
ReplyDeleteWell hopefully that's a good thing, no GREAT thing!
DeleteThat's true love will make you vulnerable, but at the same time life without love is really boring and meningless.
ReplyDeleteVery, very true!
